  Great post jwfacts,

  It's actually what I heard from a Mormon who had been away from her church for awhile that caused me to reconsider my own religion. I was at a bar with friends and met a young woman who seemed down as if her mind was in another place. I started talking to her for company and soon she started spilling out her heart about her family disowning her for her contrary lifestyle and choices she made. I tried to be the listening ear and offer whatever help I could until she dropped a bombshell of a comment I had never heard anyone who wasn't a witness say and that was, " it's just so hard to be on my own, I know the Mormons have the true religion" STOP, what was that?

  Hearing someone say what only the Kingdom Drones would ever say caused my world to tumble. how could someone say that, surely they can't mean it. it was then I realized I had better do my own background checks into my faith.

  Reading these comments brought back that day like I was there again, it gives me shivers to think ex mormons deal with the same crap we do.

  The last frame condoleesa is discussing when she bagged dad, or she was referring to the joint chief of STAFF. maybe she was letting congress no more RISES in interest rates because there has been little to no jump in INFLATION.

  i don't have any hopes of this making a difference in my family, but i do want to hear some opinions on things he said and the way he contradicts himself .

  yes, i did and talked for over one hour to a 19 year old lifer dub.

  i asked him if he had put a tract in my door implying that my religion was false.

  i told him that i was jewish.-oops!

  Great point about Orthodox Jews and their views of blood transfusions and how they would clearly be a experienced group on this subject and the old testament.I hope the young man, and that he was compared to you, does the research he said he would.

  You have to give the young man credit for staying on the phone with you like that, many I fear would of dropped the call sooner. his staying on the line may say more about your ability to strike a nerve with him.

  Sadly now as I look back at we were. my parents had money and my Father was the PO and was asked to move pretty regularly (every couple years to help another cong.) so our popularity had more to do with status and influence. being gone for sometime now, it's clear money and power worked even in the KH and those we were around had the same. I'm so ashamed of that now.

  Funny, my "worldly" friends now could care less about such things and yet all the while I was "in" I thought just the opposite. it's amazing what you see once the blinders come off.

  the oddest one for me is 1935, where do they get this idea that heavens doors were closed ???.

  makes no sense at all.. where did jesus say in the bible that in 1935 heavens doors would be closed.. with the governing body all dying off, soon the whole governing body will be replacements !
